Space to hear yourself think.
Grounded, unflinching space when life gets heavy.
No family opinions.
No workplace expectations.
No need to be the strong one.
No need to protect anyone else.
Just you.
Most of us spend our lives responding.
To work.
To family.
To responsibilities.
To expectations.
To everyone else's needs, opinions and demands.
Rarely do we stop and ask:
What do I think?
What do I feel?
What do I actually want?
Imagine fifty minutes where you do not have to perform, defend, justify or explain yourself.
Fifty minutes where the focus is entirely on you.
Your thoughts.
Your feelings.
Your questions.
Your experiences.
Your life.
Life is brief, unpredictable and entirely unscripted.
There will be moments of joy.
There will be moments of loss.
There will be change, uncertainty, responsibility, love, disappointment and grief.
Most of us spend a great deal of our lives trying to manage, suppress or out-think difficult experiences.
Sometimes what is needed is not another strategy.
Sometimes what is needed is space.
Most people arrive carrying more than anyone else can see.
Experiences.
Responsibilities.
Losses.
Questions.
Expectations.
Fears.
Hopes.
The things we keep hidden.
Whatever you carry, you do not have to package it neatly here.
You are allowed to arrive exactly as you are.
You cannot command the wind. You can learn to sail.
Life does not arrive in neat categories.
Neither do people.
We may begin by talking about one thing and discover something entirely different matters more.
Current difficulties are not a distraction from the work.
They are the work.
This is not about forcing your life into a particular framework.
This is about making sense of your experience as it exists today.
I don't fix you.
You fix you.
I am not in the driving seat.
I am not here to tell you how to live your life.
My role is to listen.
To notice.
To question.
To challenge where challenge is useful.
To help illuminate blind spots.
To provide a steady place from which difficult things can be explored.
The choices remain yours.
The responsibility remains yours.
The life remains yours.
A witness. Not a judge.
Many people spend much of their lives feeling unseen.
Not because nobody cares.
But because there are very few places where we can speak openly without judgement, expectation or interruption.
My role is not to judge.
My role is not to direct.
My role is to witness.
I am your witness to you and your life so far.
I will not judge.
I will be curious.
I will ask questions.
Together we can make space for thoughts, feelings and experiences that may never have been fully explored before.
Therapy is not intended to become a permanent home.
It is a place to pause.
A place to breathe.
A place to reflect.
A place to refuel.
A place to make sense of where you have been and where you may wish to go next.
The aim is not dependence.
The aim is for you to continue your journey with greater clarity, confidence and self-trust.
Hello, I'm Tara.
I believe that most people already carry the resources they need within themselves.
The difficulty is often having the time, space and support needed to recognise them.
My role is not to tell you who you should be.
My role is not to provide a set of answers.
My role is to create a space where thoughts, feelings and experiences can be explored honestly and without judgement.
I work with people facing many different aspects of being human, including:
I am less interested in labels and diagnoses than I am in understanding the person sitting in front of me.
Life rarely fits neatly into categories.
Neither do people.
My approach is grounded, curious and collaborative.
Some sessions may involve reflection.
Some may involve challenge.
Some may simply involve having a place where things can finally be spoken aloud.
Whatever brings you here, we start with where you are.
Life is joyful, painful, uncertain and fleeting.
None of us can avoid change.
None of us can avoid loss.
None of us can avoid difficult moments.
Yet these experiences are part of what it means to be human.
Therapy cannot remove every difficulty.
What it can do is create space to understand ourselves more clearly and to engage with life more honestly.
That understanding often becomes the foundation for meaningful change.
Bring yourself.
Bring your questions.
Bring your doubts.
Bring your uncertainty.
Bring the parts of yourself that have been hidden, ignored or forgotten.
You do not need a label.
You do not need a diagnosis.
You do not need everything figured out.
You only need the willingness to begin.
